When I ask u to listen to me
And u start giving me advice
You have not done what I asked.
When I ask u to listen to me
And u begin to tell me why
I should not feel that way,
You’re trampling on my feelings.
Listen! All I ask is that u listen
Don’t talk or do anything
Just listen…
All I need, I can do for myself,
Am not helpless…
I may be discouraged and faltering but…
